SV3 Solutions has built a team of professional tactical and explosive instructors with hundreds of years of combined experience in the law enforcement and military sectors. We offer specialized training programs in explosive breaching, ordnance recognition, IED disposal, and counter-terrorism. Our instructors are certified by the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA), International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators (IABTI), Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Administration (DHS/FEMA) as well as multiple Law Enforcement State Instructor Certifications.

Bill M.


Bill spent 21 years with the Montgomery County Department of Police, the last 16 years ending as the senior team leader for their full time SWAT team.  With over 2,500 operational deployments to his credit, he retired as one of the most seasoned officers in the unit’s history.  Prior to taking over the leadership role, Bill was a Master Breacher, and taught breaching throughout the country.
 
Bill spent over 10 years training with the U.S. Department of State’s Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program (ATAP), and, following the Benghazi incident in 2012, was tasked with creating a new program called the Special Program for Embassy Augmentation and Response (SPEAR) to provide quick reaction forces to our most at-risk embassies.  Bill worked a number of years training first responders in the states, through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s First Responder Training Program, as well as consulting with the U.S. Army Institute of Research on a variety of projects to enhance soldier protection in complex attack environments.  Finally, Bill spent 2 and a half years working full time at ATF as the training program manager for their national Special Response Team program

Sean C.

A career federal law enforcement officer with 21 years of service with the United States Border Patrol.  Most of these years he served with the full-time tactical unit (BORTAC) based in Tucson, Arizona.  He is also a veteran of the 75th Ranger Regiment.  Sean has served in every capacity from operator to Deputy Commander.  He possesses 27 years of experience teaching military and law enforcement special operations in the U.S. and globally.  During his tenure with the United States Border Patrol, Sean served as CBP’s National Master Breacher and led the effort to expand the capabilities of BORTAC’s energetics program.

Experienced in all aspects of tactical operations, energetic breaching, dignitary protection, and anti-terrorism training.

Thirteen years in the US Coast Guard – Counter Drug Boarding Officer, 6 years at the Maritime Security Response Team as a Squad Leader, Medic and Breacher.  Over 10 years’ experience as an instructor for law enforcement and military operations.  Team Leader and Instructor for the Department of State, to include a mentor for Mali’s Counter Terrorist Response Unit.  Experienced in combat marksmanship, close quarters combat, explosive breaching, and combat lifesaver.

Over 8 years’ experience teaching U.S. law enforcement to include instructing for the Texas Tactical Police Officers Association. Holds instructor certificates for mechanical breaching, shotgun breaching, ballistic shield operator, firearms, night vision, tactical rappel, and multiple active shooter courses.
Experienced in planning and the execution of SWAT operations to include hostage rescue, officer rescue, barricaded persons, high risk/narcotic search warrants, vehicle assaults, high risk apprehensions, vehicle containment, and active shooter. I have 15 years of service within law enforcement. I have been on the bomb squad for 13 years, 4 years acting bomb squad commander, 8 years certified SWAT operator, 7 years EOD K9 handler, founded the breaching program within our department, and 5 years as a Tactical Bomb Technician. I spent 8 years in US Army Special Operations to include 3 combat deployments. I have taught numerous Homemade Explosive, IED, Counter-IED, and Post Blast courses to U.S. Law Enforcement on the local, state, and federal level.
I have run over 100 combat operations. I am experienced in explosive breaching, dignitary protection, site exploitation, tactical operations, IED, and military munitions. I have commanded numerous bomb squad operations, and  helped to build operational plans for multiple major events around my area. I have considerable experience with render safe operations, explosive disposal, EOD K9, and robotic operations.

Still actively working in law-enforcement with 15 years of experience.  12 years in SWAT serving previously as a Team Mentor, Team Trainer and presently a Team Leader.  Experience in various SWAT operations to include high-risk search/arrest warrant service, armed barricades, dignitary protection, quick response force details and field force operations. 
Served in the United States Marine Corps Infantry from 2002-2006.  Completed 2 combat tours to Iraq in 2004 and 2005.  Instructor for the Florida SWAT Association since 2019.  Has instructed the FSA Tactical Entry Course and teaches annually at FSA Basic SWAT.

29 years of combined law enforcement and military experience.  23 years in civlian law enforcement with 21 years in SWAT.  Served as an assaulter, breacher, assistant team leader, and team leader for high risk warrant, hostage rescue, barricaded subject, dignitary protection, and WMD SWAT missions.  Served two years as the full-time training coordinator for a multi-jurisdictional metropolitan area SWAT team.  Military background includes multiple overseas tours conducting dignitary protection, command level force protection, detainee movement operations, and site commander for Afghan National Police training and advisory mission.
Instructor and training background with over 26 years as a military and civilian law enforcement instructor.  Instructor certifications include firearms, defensive tactics, active threat response, use of force, and chemical munitions.  Served as a lead and staff instructor at both the state and regional police academy level conducting basic and instructor certification training courses.  Master of Science degree in Terrorism and Counterterrorism Studies and Master of Science degree in Strategic Security and Protection Management.
Contractor background include assignments with the Department of State Worldwide Protective Service (WPS) as a Protective Security Specialist and firearms instructor.  Department of State Anti-Terrorism Assistance (ATA) program instructor for the following courses:  Methods of Entry, Response to Active Shooter, Crisis Response Team, Advanced Crisis Response Team, Quick Reaction Force, Advanced Quick Reaction Force, and Tactical Command Course.  Previous assignment locations include Somalia, Mauritania, Jordan, and the Phillipines.

Twenty-three years of law enforcement experience with one the largest US federal agencies as a Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC) commander/supervisor/operator/sniper.  Nineteen years of instructor experience - Precision Marksmen/Observer (Sniper), Firearms, Active Shooter, Overseas Deployments, and instructor for the US Department of State’s Anti Terrorism Assistance program.
 
Four years experience as a Reconnaissance Marine for the 1st Marine Division, Reconnaissance Company, US Marine Corps.
 
Two decades of experience – tactical operations, operational planning, sniper/counter sniper planning and execution, rural operations (mounted and dismounted), dignitary and escort operations, tracking and interdiction planning and execution.  Lead multiple collaborative operations with state, municipal, and federal entities throughout the United States and in foreign countries.

Mark has worked in the law enforcement profession for over 39 years and although recently retired, he is currently a sworn command reserve in the Tucson, Arizona Police Department where he worked for past 32 years.  During his command tenure of over 20 years, Mark held a number of command assignments related to tactical operations which included SWAT Commander, Bomb Squad Commander, Hostage Negotiation Commander, Specialized Response Division Commander, Mobile Field Forces Commander, and Air Support Unit.  He also had command responsibilities over Homeland Security and Emergency Management Initiatives within the State of Arizona.   As a certified law enforcement instructor, he has taught a number of classes to sworn personnel related to tactical response to major incidents to include active shooter and hostage/barricade situations.  He currently teaches Active Killer Training to community groups and does Threat and Vulnerability Assessments for both public and private entities and infrastructure.  
 
Mark has experience working hundreds of diverse tactical operations and situations ranging from a mass shooting, hostage events, barricaded subjects, high risk arrests, narcotics operations, and the service of search warrants.  After attending the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS) Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, he received a master’s degree in Security Studies.  This course of study specialized in the impacts, prevention, and mitigation of terrorism and the building of resilience in communities.  As a member of the Major Cities Chiefs Association (MCCA) he worked in the Intelligence Commanders Group (ICG) which collaborated with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to identify trends in terrorism and the development of mitigations strategies.  Mark has received the Distinguished Service Award in both the Tucson Police Department and the Arlington, Texas Police Department along with receiving the Chief of Police Citation of Excellence three times during his tenure in Tucson.

police department – Over 20 years tactical experience as a SWAT team member and 13 years as a SWAT supervisor/acting commander with a high tempo unit.  Over 1000 tactical operations.  Specialties in Explosive Breaching, Less Lethal Munitions and Dignitary Protection.  5 years experience as a Detective in both conventional and non-conventional task force units.  6 years leading a multi-agency plain clothes investigative unit specializing in surveillance, mobile take downs utilizing K9’s from unmarked vehicles and vertical prosecution.

Over 28 years of related experience in the law enforcement tactical community and US Department of State. 24 years as a police officer in a full time special operations team in the National Capital Region of the United States.  Documented experience specializing in high-risk operations involving warrant service, hostage rescue, barricaded subjects, high profile dignitary protection and response to several high-profile active assailant / IED incidents.  Over 24 years of international instruction on various hard skills including hostage rescue, professional firearms training, and explosive / ballistic breaching.  Court recognized expert in tactical response and firearms training.   International advisor and speaker who delivers comprehensive and operational experience in various combative fields. 
 
Evolving from a domestic law enforcement and overseas contracting career, has worked for the US Department of State, Special Programs Division, with focus on Special Programs for Embassy Augmentation and Response (S.P.E.A.R). Deployments to a multitude of international high threat posts and conflict zones, with primary focus on training host nation partners and protecting American and host nation assets. Experience developing host country capacity and security programs to mitigate threats and promote safe environments. Experience in several capacities to explosive and suicide bomber incidents.

Brook is a retired 28-year law enforcement veteran and EMT from a major, southwestern police agency; serving the last 10 years in special operations. His daily job tasks routinely included SWAT Operations & Planning, Firearms/Weapons Proficiency, Dignitary Protection, TECC, Emergency Vehicle Operations, and Physical Fitness/Wellness.He was the F.R.I.E.S. (Fast Rope Ops) Coordinator for SWAT and CBP Air & Marine. 
 
Brook spent 5 years as the First Aid and Physical Fitness Coordinator at the Regional Public Safety Training Center. As such he was the lead classroom instructor for Stress Management, Fitness/Nutrition, First Aid, TECC/IFAK, Narcan, and Rescue Task Force (RTF). He is a former member of the Arizona Tactical Officers Association (ATOA) TEMS Committee.
 
He was peer nominated and selected to be a SWAT Senior Operator. Brook participated in nearly 700 SWAT operations, countless critical incidents, and multiple protective details from POTUS to congressional candidates, in both plain clothes close-protection and Counter Assault Team (CAT) roles. 
 
Being a Street Cop at heart, he was a Field Training Officer (FTO) and Lead Police Officer (LPO) in Operations South, West, and Downtown Patrol Divisions.

Rick R. 

Rick is a career law enforcement officer with 30 years of service with a metropolitan police department  – over 25 years of tactical experience on the Special Response Team, serving as an operator, team leader, sniper, sniper coordinator, master breacher, and team commander. For the past 25 years, he has spent time instructing firearms and tactics to include: police academy firearms, use of force, basic SWAT, breaching, surveillance, low light tactics. Rick has made numerous trips to Israel and worked with their national police, including the delivery of a 40 hour low light tactics workshop to their training cadre.

Rick retired as a commander and has experience in all aspects of tactical operations, team management, tactical operations planning, and equipment evaluation and acquisition. He is a certified canine trainer and has delivered training on integration of canines into tactical operations.
 
Rick has received numerous awards during his career, including: the medal of valor for his response to an active shooter incident, law enforcement academy instructor of the year, officer of the year on two occasions for the apprehension of shooting offenders and 10 department issued commendations.

Brandon J.

21 years of law enforcement experience with a metropolitan police department.  Retired from service as a Sergeant and SWAT Team Leader, with 18 years of SWAT experience.  Specialized training and experience as an Explosive Breacher, Tactical EMT and state fusion center Terrorism Liaison Officer.  Over 20 years instructing local, state, and federal personnel of all tenures, in the following disciplines: Basic Firearms, Patrol and SWAT Carbine, Basic and Advanced Tactical Operations, Physical Fitness for LE, Less Lethal munitions, Distraction Devices and SWAT Counterterrorism Operations. 10 years as a contracted instructor for a DHS Counterterrorism course related to Tactical operations, bombing related threats and Home-Made Explosives (HME) recognition.

Active-duty Police Officer and SWAT Operator at a large metropolitan Police Department.  Over 25 years’ experience as a police officer with 22 years SWAT experience as team member, assistant team leader and explosive breacher with over 2000 operational deployments.  Over a decade of experience as Terrorism Liaison Officer to include operational deployments at multiple Tier 1 events and collaborative assignments with DHS in Washington D.C.  Over 20 years’ experience as an instructor for a variety of topics and missions from field training police officers, to firearms, driving, less lethal launchers and the multiple tactical disciplines required for the education of new SWAT Operators attending SWAT School.

USMC officer 6 years with Gulf War service.
Experienced in all aspects of tactical operations, personnel and executive protection, and anti-terrorism training. 6 deployments to Iraq, 1 to Afghanistan with HRT and embedded with US Mil SMU; numerous responses to suicide bombing sites and interdiction's of terrorist cell. Awards: FBI Medal of Valor, FBI Shield of Bravery, 3/75 Ranger Regt Commander’s Award for Civilian Service.

Derrick M.

A Police Officer with 19 years in law enforcement and 15 years on SWAT, including 10 years on an active full-time team. He has held positions as breacher, explosive breacher, assaulter and is currently a Team Leader.  Specialties include Breaching (Manual, Mechanical, Ballistic and Explosive), Tactical Equipment and Weapons, Warrant Service and Planning, Barricaded Persons, Dynamic Entry, Hostage Rescue, Dignitary Protection and Anti-Terrorism.  He has a Master Peace Officer License and has multiple instructor certificates to include Firearms, Tactical Rifle, Def-Tech Less Lethal, CQB, Large Venue Hostage Rescue. He sits on the Executive Board of the Texas Tactical Police Officer Association and is currently the Range Master for his department and teaches all firearms course from basic to advanced.

Jason F.

A career law enforcement officer with 17 years of service.  13 years as a SWAT team member.  Several years as Reaction Team Leader, as well as, operational assistant team leader on various SWAT operations.  Over 10 years experience instructing various topics to include Active Shooter Response, Basic Tactical Medical Training, Hostage Rescue Tactics, Mechanical Breaching techniques, and high risk warrant service.

Government certified through FEMA. We provide training in Playas, NM for SWAT and police, and other qualified individuals.
